The 38 km long drive goes from the Hotel Bellevue Hohfluh Hasliberg over the Brünig Pass, Meiringen, Innertkirchen, Guttannen, Hotel-Restaurant Handegg to the Räterichsbodensee, where you can park at the dam. You then continue on foot over the dam to the mule track on the right along the lake, as far as you want.

By chance we noticed that, strangely, a minibus turned into an underground tunnel below the dam of the Räterichsbodensee and disappeared into it! When we got home at the hotel, we asked about this event and the answer was that a tour of the Grimsel 2 pumped storage dam power plant of KWO Kraftwerke Oberhasli begins at this point. At the end of the tour, a wonderful crystal chasm in the rock of the power plant is shown, the Gerstenegg crystal chasm. We decided to phone to reserve a viewing as soon as possible!
