Length of the journey by car simply 41.8 km. The route goes from the Hotel Bellevue Hohfluh Hasliberg via Meiringen, Innertkirchen, Guttannen, Räterichsbodensee to the Grimsel Hospiz on the Grimselsee. There are good parking spaces at the hospice (driving over the dam). From there you can continue on foot over the right dam, on a well-paved path through a pedestrian tunnel towards Lauteraarhütte, which can only be reached by alpine athletes. As tourists, we find it attractive enough to hike to the first waterfall, the Juchlibach, 2 km away to the hospice and then to turn back. You can then stop off at the Grimsel Hospice afterwards.
