By car you drive from the Hotel Bellevue Hohfluh Hasliberg over the Brünig Pass in the direction of the Susten Pass. The distance to the Steingletscher from the hotel is 44 km, the distance to the top of the Susten Pass is 46.2 km from the hotel.

From the Steingletscher junction there is a clear and good toll road to the rearmost parking lot. From there you hike a short distance to the meager remainder of the glacier. You can see a breathtaking landscape. Sometimes there are also flocks of sheep in the valley.

At the top of the Susten Pass there is a parking lot on the left with a wonderful view back to the Bernese Oberland.
