The St. Beatus Caves lie between Interlaken and Merligen. A former hermit stayed here in solitude and was named after this cave landscape. They are very well known and always a big crowd puller.
From our Hotel Bellevue Hohfluh Hasliberg you drive over the Brünig Pass in the direction of Interlaken on the A8, at the exit from Interlaken-West on the Fernstrasse 221.4, always staying on the road in the direction of Merligen and Thun to the boat landing stage on the northern bank of Lake Thun and one Post bus station further with the name "Beatushöhlen". One tunnel further on there is a medium-sized forest car park on the right, but there is always a large number of parking spaces. So please do not arrive on Sundays and public holidays! The length of the path is 38 km.
From the parking lot you hike back on a hiking trail with a length of approx. 600 meters and come to the sales point for tickets or the guided tours through the St. Beatus Caves.
The official homepage can be found here. There is another page here.
